The Station's Research mission focuses on supporting faculty, graduate, and undergraduate research projects at the University of Florida as well as serve as a platform and collaborative environment for other academic institutions and agencies.
The Station's Conservation mission is to manage and protect the ecological integrity of the facility's habitats & species. It also includes the collecting of long-term monitoring data to support conservation management, research, education, and extension activities.
The Station's Teaching mission is to provide support for a mix of college level courses, professional training, extension workshops, and visits from K-12 schools. OSBS provides a high quality learning environment and the opportunity to provide valuable field experiences.
